spring break is exciting.

below is a recap of my exciting tuesday. you might want to sit down if you’re not already.

finished essay
played with new phone
watched starsky and hutch
played splinter cell:pandora tomorrow

..oh yeah, and ate death in a pizza. sausage, pepperoni, and full bacon strips lined all over the pizza. i feel my arteries shuddering as i type.

if only tomorrow i can be as productive as i was today… ;P

comfort in sound

despite all the hassles of travelling, it’s relatively easy to get lost in your thoughts, especially if you are familiar with your travel routes.

packed the necessities: gba sp, moto v70, sony t1 digicam, ipod mini, and pbg4.

turns out the only thing i really used for this leg of the trip was the ipod mini.
loaded a bunch of playlists that essentially serve as snapshots of years past: all of the playlists have been burned to cd and been in my car for countless hours of listening nirvana.

i’ve been killing the current songs in my car by playing the songs too much… if i hear yellowcard’s october nights again, i think i’m gonna go crazy.

so i flashed back to songs that i played last year around this time

overplayed then, soothing to hear now. emotions and memories attached to every track. from one song to the next to the next to the next and quicker than you can say “just-an-old-friend-coming-over-now-to-visit-you-and-that’s-what-i’ve-become“… the trip is over.

hey man, if i were stephan jenkins, i’d write songs about how i lost charlize theron too.

enjoying all sorts of amenities here in this hotel, like broadband internet, thus allowing me the ability to write this wonderful post.

time to take a familiar late night trek to the water with my ipod providing the soundtrack to my life..

see you soon.
