You know that weird phenomenon that happens when you learn about something and then you keep seeing or hearing it everywhere afterwards? (Is there a name for that, btw?)
OK, well that’s happening to me right now.
After my little accident (yesterday, in fact), a few of the sites I regularly check out related to cars and eating have posted two articles that seem directed towards me.
Autoblog posted Some helpful tips for those in a car accident…
And Slashfood posted Top 50 foods to eat before you die.
I kid you not. Weird, right?
At any rate, I just want to comment on one of the tips given by the article, specifically:
Carry a disposable camera to take pictures of the damage (as well as any cute police officers).
I carried my digital camera with me that night, but it didn’t do much good when it was flung out of my car some 50 feet away, along with my cell phone and wallet. So if you do decide to carry a camera, do make sure that it is in your glove compartment or in your center console or somewhere else secure that it won’t fly out of your car. Trust me.
Oh, and in case you’re wondering (or too lazy to click), top 10 foods are:
1. Fresh fish
2. Lobster
3. Steak
4. Thai food
5. Chinese food
6. Ice cream
7. Pizza
8. Crab
9. Curry
10. Prawns
“Chinese” food and “thai” food seem a bit general, no?
OK, I think I’ve filled my quota of morbid posts for the year. In happier news, I didn’t know there was a Beard Papa’s opening in SF soon! I know I posted about Beard Papa’s an year or two back, but I can’t find the post to link… Sorry. Just eat them.
