Lost Week: Pink wristbands and oldness

I have a lot to post about my trip, but I’ll start at the very beginning. I feel super old.

At HOB Anaheim, I saw Hellogoodbye, Panic! at the Disco, Jack’s Mannequin, and The Academy Is… Good times. I drove down with my sister, and we decided to get there early. When we arrived (HOB Anaheim is located at Downtown Disney), there was already a pretty lengthy line. Everyone there was SO FRICKIN YOUNG. I felt really out of place. To make matters worse, they started putting wristbands on everyone, pink for <21 and dark green for 21+. I looked down at the sea of people in front of me: ALL PINK. I made a decision there to not show my ID unless they asked me. So my sister got her pink wristband, and then it was time.

I looked away, held out my hand and waited. The lady didn’t ask how old I was!!! I gladly accepted the pink wristband and wore it proudly under the bright SoCal sun.

I thought I was happy. But then, the people behind me (clearly under the age of 18) were ID’d. After I saw that, I was kind of really offended that the lady didn’t even ask me for my age.

When I upload pictures, I’ll post my pink wristband. I love it and I’m never going to take it off.
