Celebration of life

You gave up your life to save mine. Though we hit the ditch, you stayed strong to protect me as we skidded across the freeway, finally landing after rolling over a few times. We’ve been through so much together. You’ve been with me since before I turned 16, traveling with me up and down California, Nebraska, Rhode Island, and Massachusetts. Wherever I went, you loyally followed. I’m proud of you. Know that I’ll miss you.

Rest in peace, ML. You’ll never be forgotten.

I know a lot of people have had the amazing opportunity to ride in my car. If you have any memories you’d like to share about my baby, please write it in the comments.

Posting might be a bit (more) sporadic over the next few days. Bear with me.

Rockin’ YouTube 1: Everything is Alright, performed by alisenwilliams

Commit This to MemoryI think I’m going to try using YouTube to introduce new music.

This week: Motion City Soundtrack’s Everything is Alright. This song is pretty old, but it’s one of my faves, and I just discovered this video. Let me know what you think about the song (or ms. williams). If anyone can promote this song, it’s alisenwilliams. I don’t think I’ve ever had that much energy. EVER.

See for yourself.

Now go check out Motion City Soundtrack.

Girls fighting and… girls fighting.

Ahh highschool love. Two girls (one cheerleader, one girl in a yellow puffy jacket) and one guy. These stories usually never end well.

I’m putting money on the cheerleader.

Had they been regularly reading my site, this could have all been avoided as they could have checked dontdatehimgirl.com first!

Also notice how the guy does ABSOLUTELY NOTHING.

In part II of my video frenzy we have um… a treat for Zelda fans.

Come on, Twilight Princess.

Don’t Date Him Girl

Saw this on Headline News a little while ago. The site is dontdatehimgirl.com. You there, girl! Yes you. You can search for any guy and see if he’s on the list of cheating men.

The latest cheater featured on the site was the unfortunate David Wang, formerly from Queens, now in Riverside.

Here’s a sample entry from the site: (Sorry David, from your picture, you seem like a nice fun-loving guy)

bad boyI dated him when he lived in Queens, NY but he has since moved to Riverside, CA. We dated for about 5 months until I found out that he had slept with at least five other girls, including my friend Maria. After we broke up he dated my
EX-friend Maria and then proceeded to cheat on her as well. I would love to be able to warn others about him and make sure they know what they are getting into.

Oh the lies, the deceipt, the betrayal!!!! It’s all there.
Guess what’s coming soon? Yup. dontdateherboy.com. Or something similarly named.

Might I suggest dontdatehergirl and dontdatehimboy as well? I expect a portion of the profits if they add those to the dontdate_______ family.

Windows on a Mac

I really want a new intel Mac now. There was a $13,000 bounty to get Windows XP running on an intel Mac. The solution was released earlier today. There are still some things that don’t work (AirPort card on MacBook Pro, for example), but the hard work is done. There’s even a cool selector screen where you can switch between launching OS X and WinXP.

If you can afford a Mac, I think this is a much better solution than getting Mac OS X to run on Windows machines (OSX86 project).

I think I’ll wait until Apple’s 30th Anniversary on April 1st in case Jobsie decides to unleash some new Apple portables onto the world. If nothing new is out, I think I’ll pick up a MacBook Pro. My 1.25 GHz AlBook isn’t quite cutting it anymore.
