Phoenix

Thanks to everyone’s messages. It makes me happy to think of all of the people that have driven with me on various adventures. I’m glad that when people see a silver ML, it reminds them of me. My cuts are healing nicely and the soreness on my left side is pretty much gone.

“Nothing will make a driver more loyal to its car than a car more loyal to its driver.”

I totally believe that. Despite my thinking that I would get a different car this time, for some reason, I kept coming back to the ML. In the end, it wasn’t as difficult a decision as I imagined.

I’ve temporarily nicknamed her “Phoenix.” Why Phoenix? Because I’m super-cheesy.

A mythical bird that periodically burned itself to death and emerged from the ashes as a new phoenix. According to most stories, the rebirth of the phoenix happened every five hundred years. Only one phoenix lived at a time.

The rebirth of my phoenix took a little under 9 years. The car was delivered this past Wednesday from Caliber Motors in Anaheim (Hills). Had to go with Iridium Silver. The only thing that I changed was the interior color (ash to charcoal). Haven’t been able to get shots of the exterior yet.. I’ll probably get to that on a sunny day (tomorrow). Until then, some gloomy interior shots.

Hi. I was looking for ’silent’ and ‘quiet’ graphics and was directed to your page. You looked really familiar and I wondered whether you were from Rhodie. Lo and behold, someone was wearing a Brown tee, Ratty references and the mention of Rhode Island.

So, hi. And I hope you’re healing well. Blessings from HK.
